Bugsy & PT RANT: Sally Acorn, Modern Sonic Fans, Comic Weirdness & WHY ARE YOU CALLING IAN FLYNN DADDY?!
Welcome to another Bugsy and PT joint rant, where two friends sit down, discuss the Sonic fandom, and inevitably ask themselves what the actual fuck is going on anymore.
This time, the conversation starts with Sally Acorn and the never-ending debates surrounding her place in Sonic history. Bugsy and PT talk about fans who grew up loving Sally, fans who still want her back, and fans who insist they'll love her forever and ever, no matter what happens with the franchise.
And honestly? They're not here to tell anybody they can't love Sally. Love the character! Celebrate her history! Talk about what she meant to you growing up!
But when the conversation turns to modern Sonic comics, things get interesting. Bugsy and PT discuss some of the bizarre, confusing, and downright unusual things they've encountered in Sonic fandom discussions, along with the way certain fans react to the franchise's changing direction.
Then comes the question that makes both of them stop and reconsider humanity:
WHY. ARE. PEOPLE. CALLING. IAN FLYNN. DADDY?!
Bugsy needs answers. PT needs answers. The entire condo needs answers.
Is it a joke? Is it fandom culture? Is this just another internet phenomenon that escaped containment? And why does every fandom seem to develop its own strange vocabulary?
The two also discuss nostalgia, character attachment, comic-book storytelling, fan expectations, and the difference between criticizing something and acting like everyone else is wrong for enjoying it.
This isn't about hating Sally fans, modern Sonic fans, or Ian Flynn himself. It's about looking at the fandom's stranger habits, laughing at the absurdity, and asking questions that probably should have been asked years ago.
Bugsy and PT have entered the chat. The Sonic fandom is on trial. And nobody is leaving the condo without explaining the Daddy thing.
